I loved the location of Casa Alta - set amidst high forested mountains. Our room, including the shower room, was newly and tastefully decorated and furnished. Breakfast was delicious and typically French with very good croissants, bread, home made jams etc. Probably the best thing about our stay was the helpfulness of the host, Vincent. He advised us on walks suited to our abilities and loaned us maps to take with us. There are plenty of books, for the use of visitors,on the flora, fauna etc of the local area.

This is a wonderful place. You have a very nice owner who can give you lots of detailed information and advise on what to do (and he is fluent in English as well!). For a hiker, this place is a dream. Hiking guides, hiking maps, everything is available (when necessary photocopies). Great breakfast, there are offers to provide picnic bags for your day activities. The location is great, close to the street, but still in the forest. Located in central Corsica, you are right there at the base of mountain tours, the GR20 passes there as well.

The exceptionally helpful owner of this charming B&B will go out of his way to make your stay memorable, and there is no way that he could fail. The included breakfast is wholesome and if you are lucky, served with home made jams from the owners own kitchen. The surroundings are great for hiking, and maps and advice are available on request. The rooms are located in and old and cosy millionaire villa from the turn of the last century. The rooms are simple, but clean.

Vincent, the owner, was eager to help in any way. This is an older home, built in the late 1800's, and is a good way to see what a home of that era looks like. It is not posh by any means but very clean and cozy. It is a perfect place to come back to after a long hike. Best bread for breakfast that I have every had.

The location was really convenient for exploring both the mountains and the coast of Corsica. We were able to visit the GR20 hiking trail and also the beautiful beaches. The owner, Vincent, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us great recommendations on where to stay and what to visit. Another bonus was that Vincent is a private pilot and offered air-trips around Corsica. The rooms were lovely, the atmosphere was friendly, and the breakfast was good.
One downside was the language barrier. The staff didn't speak much English and communication was a bit difficult.
